What are some effective and popular fillers?

Juvederm

JUVÉDERM® is a dermal filler, it’s a gel and is FDA approved. People who have tried JUVÉDERM® are happier with the results than with other dermal fillers, it’s safe, and people all skin types and ethnicities can use it. The JUVÉDERM® injection procedure takes only 15 minutes and results are immediate. There is little to no downtime and there’s minimal recovery time needed.

Radiesse

Another injectable filler lasting even longer (about 2 years) is Radiesse. It consists of tiny micro spheres of a synthetic material called calcium hydroxyl apatite (30%) that is combined with a common hydro gel (70%) used in a vast array of /skin-care-products-san-diego/. While calcium hydroxyl apatite has similar chemical and structural characteristics as bone and teeth and therefore is naturally compatible with the body, the Radiesse material is synthetic and man-made similar to a calcium phosphate. Radiesse is used most for the deep folds that run from the nose down towards the corners of the mouth and for depressions under the mouth.

How It Works

Collagen is a natural protein that supports your skin, keeping it firm and elastic. As skin ages it becomes thinner and less resilient because existing collagen has weakened and less new collagen is being produced. Similar to traditional San Diego collagen treatments, injectable fillers can be an effective way to add volume to facial features and smooth out facial wrinkles and creases for a naturally younger-looking face.

The injectable fillers most commonly used at our Chula Vista and San Diego practice include Restylane, JUVÉDERM, and RADIESSE®. RADIESSE is made from calcium-based microspheres that work to stimulate the production of new collagen. Restylane and JUVÉDERM are made of hyaluronic acid – a substance that already occurs naturally in your body – and hydrate, add volume and reduce the visibility of facial wrinkles.

What to Expect
