LadyLase For Vaginal Rejuvenation

Now available in San Diego, LadyLase is an effective and proven procedure designed to promote vaginal rejuvenation and tightness.

LadyLase is an excellent treatment option for women who suffer from vaginal atrophy/relaxation syndrome, where the inner diameter of the vaginal canal becomes drier, thinner, and less elastic due to the aging process or childbirth. The former can break down collagen tissue that contributes to stronger, tighter walls, while the latter can stretch out the vaginal walls.

Patient Testimonial:

“I’m so thankful for this procedure! It’s made my life full again – happy again.” Patient – Mary, age 59

What causes Vaginal Relaxation Syndrome?

The leading cause of vaginal relaxation syndrome is decreased estrogen levels often caused by one or more of the following:

  • Natural Aging process
  • Childbirth & Breastfeeding
  • Perimenopause
  • Surgical Menopause/Hysterectomy
  • Radiation & Chemo Therapy

Symptoms of Vaginal Relaxation:

  • Vaginal Dryness – Often Mistaken for Tightness
  • Loss of elasticity
  • Discomfort during intercourse
  • Chronic vaginal infections
  • Loss of proper urinary functions

How does LadyLase work?

The LadyLase treatment follows IntimaLase protocol and works by using a special device much smaller than a gynecological exam speculum.  The laser is then used to deliver gentle thermal heat energy to the vaginal area.  As the device heats the area, the surrounding muscles contract resulting in the long-term production of essential collagen tissue.  Over time, the collagen tissue helps strengthen and tighten the vaginal canal.

Patients who undergo the LadyLase treatment report feeling a tighter, more rejuvenated vaginal area.

How many treatments will I need?

It is recommended that patients have at least two treatments for optimal results.  Some patients may need additional treatments depending on their individual needs.

LadyLase benefits:

lady-lase LadyLase

  • Comfortable
  • No surgery, no downtime
  • Improves vaginal lubrication
  • Improves tightness & health of vaginal tissue
  • Improves pleasure during intercourse
  • Reduces the occurrence of vaginal infections
  • Rejuvenates the vaginal appearance
  • Can also improve incontinence

Does it hurt?

Most patients find the treatment very comfortable and report feeling a mild heating sensation during the treatment.  Prior to treatment we provide patients with topical numbing cream for increased comfort.

Is there any downtime?

No, unlike surgery which can have several weeks of downtime, there is no downtime or recovery associated with LadyLase (a non-invasive procedure).  Although there are no restrictions on physical activity, we ask patients to abstain from sexual activity for at least 3 days after the procedure in order to give the treated tissue optimal time to tighten for the best results.

When will I see results?

Most patients report seeing and feeling improvement immediately after treatment.  Results continue to improve over time and optimal results are seen approximately 4 weeks after the second treatment.

How long does it last?

LadyLase treatments work by improving the integrity of your vaginal mucosa, so there should be improvement in the tissues.  As you continue to age, maintenance treatments are available as needed.
